Sebbene la saga cinematografica dedicata a Harry Potter sia conclusa, proseguendo solo con quella prequel di Animali Fantastici e dove trovarli, lo spettacolo teatrale Harry Potter e la Maledizione dell’Erede ha registrato un record assoluto aggiudicandosi ben 9 Olivier Awards.
La cerimonia di premiazione ha avuto luogo domenica sera, durante la quale lo spettacolo ha vinto 9 premi su 11 nomination: miglior nuova opera teatrale, miglior attore (Jamie Parker – Harry Potter), miglior attore non protagonista (Anthony Boyle – Scorpius Malfoy), miglior attrice non protagonista (Noma Dumezweni – Hermione Granger), regia, luci, suono, set e costumi.
La vittoria incontrastata dello spettacolo è stata coronata anche da un tweet pubblicato dall’autrice J.K. Rowling che ha ringraziato tutto il team tecnico e artistico non essendo potuta essere presente alla premiazione:
