DGA Awards 2021: Chloé Zhao è la miglior regista per Nomadland

Ieri sera sono stati annunciati i vincitori dei DGA Awards 2021, i premi assegnati dalla Directors Guild of America che riunisce i registi statunitensi e che quest’anno hanno visto trionfare Chloé Zhao per Nomadland.

La regista ha segnato così la storia: è infatti la seconda regista donna in 73 anni ad aggiudicarsi il premio (la prima fu Kathryn Bigelow per The Hurt Locker) e, in assoluto, la prima donna non caucasica. A seguito del trionfo ai DGA Awards, e dopo aver vinto ai Golden Globes e ai PGA Awards, Nomadland è ufficialmente il frontrunner ai prossimi Oscar che si terranno la notte tra il 25 e il 26 aprile.
