La Cinema Audio Society (CAS) ha annunciato oggi le nomination per la 62ª edizione dei CAS Awards, che celebrano l’eccellenza nel sound mixing per film, TV, animazione e documentari.
Sinners (da noi come I Peccatori) ha ottenuto la nomination per il miglior suono nella categoria live action, con lui spiccano i nomi di altri film di grande interesse quali Frankenstein ed il solito onnipresente in questa stagione dei premi “One Battle After Another” (da noi come Una battaglia dopo l’altra). KPop Demon Hunters, invece, spicca nella categoria d’animazione.
Le nomination CAS Awards hanno una correlazione storica alta con gli Oscar per Miglior Suono (oltre il 60% negli ultimi 10 anni), a tal proposito Sinners si posiziona come frontrunner per la statuetta grazie al suo mix immersivo e complesso. KPop Demon Hunters potrebbe emergere come outsider nell’animazione.
La cerimonia si terrà il 7 marzo 2026 al Beverly Hilton di Beverly Hills, California, con premi speciali a Skip Lievsay CAS (Career Achievement) e Guillermo del Toro (Filmmaker Award).
